Onsite (Corporate)
Seated/Chair Massage
Corporate Massage is usually done with
a specially designed massage chair. It is a relatively short
massage which usually lasts 10-15 minutes and uses no
massage oil. It takes place with the person fully clothed,
and covers the head, neck, shoulders, back, arms, and
hands.
It leaves employees feeling relaxed,
refreshed and ready to return to work, like a nap or a
coffee
break. It's a wonderful thing
to do for your hard-working staff...they will thank you for
it and work better too. I've been providing bi-weekly chair
massage for the employees of a casino for over four years
now and they thoroughly enjoy it.

The results of a recent study were
published in the American Massage Therapy Association's
Massage Therapy Journal, Spring 2004, Vol. 43. The study
examined how a 10-minute massage affected nurses working in
the high-pressure environment of a medical center. The
purpose of the study was to assess the effect of massage
therapy in reducing stress perception in bedside nurses as
compared to the standard coffee break traditionally allowed
in a nurse's schedule during the day. The findings of this
study demonstrated that, at least in the short term, massage
therapy can be effective in reducing stress perception among
hospital nurses during the course of the workday.
